After another successful season live streaming the 2017 Victorian Hockey Premier League, My Sport Live (MSL) together with Hockey Victoria (HV) are pleased to announce the expansion of the partnership in 2018 to include media services.
The media services together, with the live-stream and video production components, form part of a new long-term arrangement that will see HV and MSL working together for the next three years.
Kicking off on April 14, Victoria’s elite hockey competition will feature one fixture per weekend streamed via the HV website, with both Men’s and Women’s matches from each fixture being broadcast live.
The agreement also includes the live broadcasting of all finals matches, Vic League Grand Final day and the Victorian Junior State Championships.
In addition to the live streaming agreement, MSL will for the first time be handling a bulk of the media services of HV. MSL will take responsibility for managing the HV website, all social media platforms and all other communications.
Speaking about the announcement, HV CEO Andrew Skillern said he was excited to further the partnership with My Sport Live to include media services and extra streaming.
“Through this partnership, HV has changed the way hockey is viewed in Victoria, so it is with great pleasure we strengthen our relationship with My Sport Live to continue the growth of Hockey here,” Skillern said.
“We have seen year after year that live streaming our Premier League matches allows us to increase the profile of the sport and highlight our athletes, programs and events and we hope the added media presence provided to us by My Sport Live will continue that growth.
“Judging from the success of last year, I can’t wait to see what is in store for the broadcast for this upcoming season.”
MSL Managing Director Andrew Weiss also welcomed the opportunity to expand the partnership between MSL and HV.
“We had another great year streaming each week for the HV Premier League, and we were overwhelmed with how the streaming and our involvement was embraced by the Victorian hockey community,” Weiss said.
“We think that the growth of this partnership is fantastic for both parties, the live streaming has been a fantastic addition for HV and we are confident our media services can help their business and members.
“Viewers can expect to see even more games streamed this year, and we look forward to continuing to showcase the best of what hockey in Victoria has to offer to everyone around the country via the broadcasts and through our media service to HV.”
All the live action will be shown on the Hockey Victoria website via www.hockeyvictoria.org.au, so keep an eye on the website for further information.
